A Psalm of David, Psalm 5 conveys the eternal truth of our desperate need for God’s mercy and grace in a hostile and fear-filled world. This new musical setting of Psalm 5 by craig buhler conveys the message as it is experienced by those who know what the blues feel like. Hannah Jensen sings it stunningly accompanied by craig buhler (sax), the late Bob Woll (piano), Gary McRoberts (organ), Taylor Ackley (bass), and Bryan Taylor (drums). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mv1KqnNEoZc&feature=youtu.be
Here is the chart, in case you want to try singing it!
We recently lost a consummate musician, an anointed worship leader, an exemplary family man, and a close friend. Bob Woll went home to be with Jesus after a mighty struggle with cancer. He was my pianist of choice for 20 years in both the jazz and worship genres and a trusted confidant. In this photo, we worship Jesus while paying tribute to this dear saint.
(left to right) Gordon Tibbits (bass), Aaron Mesaros (piano), Gary Hood (guitar), Pastor David Woll (drums), Debbie Fetherston (vocal), Craig Buhler (sax, vocal, worship leader), Philadelphia Church, Seattle, WA, Sunday, July 14, 2019.
Bob Woll was our piano instructor at the 2017 Dungeness Christian Music Workshop. His wife, Mary Beth, helped mentor our choir.
